OCCCIRS – Present/Past • IR as IT or database function • Rearview or historical reporting • Past data on institutional level only • Rarely at the leadership table • Large variation in IR among schools • Primary relationship with IT • Growing workload, same size office • Locus of control lost and increasing data demands • Increased accountability with repercussions

OCCCIRS – Present/Past • Internal relationships changing • Process improvement through simplification • Visibility of IR office on campus • People with research expertise, but no time for actual research • Looking for capacity of increasing demand • Growing state and federal reporting • Increasing trend of evaluation work for awarded grants
