  2. Administrative Matters: Money Q.1 Do I have pay? Sorry, No pay! Q.2 Do I have subsidy/ support for my project if my agency does not support it? Yes, from Department and from other funding sources.

  3. Project Expense : under very special circumstances : completed proposal & app.5.5 : sent to Head via Fieldwork Coordinator for approval before the implementation of the programme : application should not be later than the last but one week of placement : completed app.5.6 with receipts for reimbursement

  4. Travelling Expense 1. “On Duty” travelling allowance complete app. 5.3 at the last day of placement 2. “Between Home to Field” travelling allowance a. rule of “HK$ 5” Home to Field vs Home to U. $ 15 $ 8 $ 7 ( - $5 = $ 2) b. complete app. 5.2 within first 2 weeks c. complete app. 5.4 at the last day of placement Late claim will not be entertained!!

  5. Administrative Matters Fieldwork Date: Feb 8 - June 4, 1998 (Wed - Fri) 17 weeks Medical certificate req’d if > 1 day Sick Leave: Inform supervisor/CIC Make-up lost day(s) Compensatory leave (not mandatory) Over-time Work: Cannot used to cut short the placement period

  6. Fieldwork Assessment • Continuous / all-round assessment • Assess student, supervisor and the agency • Behavioural checklist & quantitative method

  7. Mid-term Fieldwork Assessment • held in the middle of the placement • review progress & achievement • complete app.5.8 by supervisor • complete app.5.10 & app. 5.15 by student (app.5.15 to Dept.)

  8. End-of-Placement Evaluation • complete app.5.9 by supervisor • complete app.5.10 by student • complete app.5.13 by agency • complete 5.15 by student and send to Dept • compile portfolio

  9. Some reminders ..... : Portfolio should reach Dept. within 1 week after the placement ended : App. 5.15 is confidential. No need to show it to your supervisor. Submit to Dept. directly. : Supervisor’s mark/grade is a recommendation only. Subject to review. : Grade-related special requirement & ‘D’ cases : Your signature in the form does not mean that you agree with the mark recommended!

  10. Fieldwork Moderation : Practice Board : ‘A’; ‘D’; ‘F’; marginal; selected; & ‘appeal’ cases :Based on portfolio & student files : second marker & if necessary, third marker : corresponding adjustment : student right to appeal
