  1. Solving Equationswith Variables on Both Sides You will: Solve equations with variables on both sides. Identify equations that are identities or have no solution.

  2. Problem 1 b) Solve 7x + 2 = 4x – 10 a) Solve 5x + 2 = 2x + 14

  3. Problem 2 a) It takes a graphic designer 1.5 hours to make one page of a Web site. Using new software, the designer could complete each page in 1.25 hours, but it takes 8 hours to learn the software. How many Web pages would the designer have to make in order to save time using the new software?

  4. Problem 2 b) A hairdresser is deciding where to open her own studio. If the hairdresser chooses Location A, she will pay $1800 per month in rent and will charge $45 per haircut. If she chooses Location B, she will pay $1200 per month in rent and will charge $60 per haircut. How many haircuts would she have to give in one month to make the same profit at either location?

  5. Problem 3 a) Solve 2(5x – 1) = 3(x + 11)

  6. Problem 3 c) Solve 7(4 – a) = 3(a – 4) b) Solve 4(2y + 1) = 2(y – 13)

  7. Problem 4 b) Solve 9m – 4 = -3m + 5 + 12m a) Solve 10x + 12 = 2(5x + 6)

  8. Problem 4 d) Solve 2x + 7 = -(3 – 2x) c) Solve 3(4b – 2) = -6 + 12b

  9. Homework Assignment Complete 2 – 4 Practice Ditto
