  2. RC-EAST Mr. Shakurh, Panjwai greenhouse caretaker, discusses farming techniques. The ADT provides agricultural education, marketing and services for the people of Afghanistan by identifying farming deficiencies, providing technical expertise in agricultural and leadership areas, and teaching business, financial, and management practices.

The Afghan Commandos conducted the operation in order to deny enemies of Afghanistan freedom of movement in the area and to allow for the further progression of commandos to conduct independent operations.

CJSOTF-A An Afghan National Army Commando with 1st Company, 3rd Special Operations Kandak, pulls security from the roof of a compound during a clearing operation in Shah Wali Kot district, Kandahar province. The Afghan Commandos conducted the operation in order to deny enemies of Afghanistan freedom of movement in the area and to allow for the further progression of commandos to conduct independent operations.

  9. CJSOTF-A HajiMematulla, the deputy chief of police for the DehRawud District of Uruzgan province, work to complete the handover of the former Forward Operating Base Hadrian site near DehRawud from the International Security Assistance Force to Afghan authorities

  10. CJSOTF-A Soldiers from th 6th Khandak, 3rd Brigade, 203rd Corps Afghan National Army added 60mm mortar systems to their entourage of armaments. The 6th Khandakmortarmen were already well-versed with firing systems of other variations; this light and highly mobile system allows them to shoot, move and communicate with improved haste.

  12. SOUTHWEST Afghan leaders attended the Regional Command (Southwest) Ramazan Symposium at the Afghan Cultural Center, to learn about Islam's holy month in Helmand province. Officials, tribal elders and local mullahs attended the symposium to teach the command's seniorleadership what Ramazan means to Muslims.
