To qualify for an internship in the School of Criminal Justice, students must have completed at least 90 credit hours, including 21 hours specifically in Criminal Justice. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25 is required for all college coursework, along with a 2.5 GPA for Criminal Justice courses. Additionally, students cannot undertake their internship at their current place of employment and may not enroll in both CJ 4301 and CJ 4302 in the same semester. Core course prerequisites include foundational CJ courses and other general core classes.

CJ Pre-Requisites • The following CJ core course (or equivalent): • CJ 1310 – Intro to CJ • CJ 2310 - Policing • CJ 2350 - Courts • CJ 2355 - Corrections • CJ 2360 – Criminal Law • CJ 3346 - Research • CJ 3347 - Statistics (or Math 2328 or SOCI 3307)
