  4. Understood you as the subject: in some sentences, the subject YOU is not stated, but it is understood. Place the understood subject in parentheses to the left of the vertical line. Ex. Sit. (you) Sit simple predicate (understood simple subject)

  5. Write each of the following and then diagram each. • Dolphins swim. • Wait! • Turn. • Tiffany jogs.
