Professional standards of behaviour and reliability Assessed by faculty • Maintain attendance above 90% • Conduct self in a manner appropriate for work • Be appropriately dressed for work • Prepared for classes • Maintain department standards/Customer Service • Excellent punctuality • Reliability
2. Professional Communication Assessed by faculty • Engage in all theory and workshop sessions • Make relevant contributions in class • Demonstrates ability to communicate on a range of issues
3.Draft CV • Student access the college Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) • Uses resources to complete a draft CV • Discusses at review 1 with Personal and Course tutor • Draft CV completed independently
4. Searching & Applying for a Job • Students attend passport tutorials • Gain skills in searching and applying for jobs • Can lead to a Work Skills credit at E3-L2 • Regular opportunities to attend sessions in a options week • Online support
5. The Work Ready Employer Interview • Students practice interview skills • JobShop works with faculties to plan Employer interviews
6.Create a CV • Draft CV is reviewed • Student makes amendments with support • CV validated by JobShop team • Flag on Personal Learning Plan (PLP) to show this stage is complete
Optional • These weeks will allow students to look at: • volunteering, • charity work, • finance, • budgeting, • HE, • health etc.
