Sylvan Theater Column Restoration Project 2007 - 2008

The Sylvan Theater underwent an extensive column restoration project from 2007 to 2008. This process involved several steps, including the removal of deteriorated columns and their old wooden bases. Craftsmen meticulously cleaned and repaired existing columns, fabricated new concrete bases, and ensured proper painting and rust-proofing. New concrete bases were designed to last for 50 years, incorporating innovative re-usable curved concrete forms. The project's careful approach preserved both the aesthetic and structural integrity of the theater, ensuring its legacy for future generations.
