  2. Links to other pages on my site/for class Announcements This is what a “full size” webpage Looks like. I have it currently Zoomed out so you can see what Information I have included on my “home” page. Daily Homework Links to other sites/outside resources

  3. Sign in up here… Before you can do Anything. This “edit” button Is your best friend

  4. When you hit the “edit” button the bar at the top will expand.

  5. 1ST Step: How to create a new page

  6. 1st step: How to create a new page You can also “customize” your wiki, by look and feel, using this link Step 1:Click this button  (“Pages and Files”) It is located at the bottom or side of your screen.

  7. Step 2: A new screen will appear with the title “Pages and Files”. Now press this button (“New Page”)

  8. Step 3: A pop-up with the title “New” will appear. Now press type in what you want your new page to be titled. For example, Spanish I or Spanish II. ***Notice, each page will automatically generate a URL/Web Address***

  9. Second Step: Linking your pages or other websites

  10. How to “Link” a page or website to your Wiki: Step 1:Click this button  (“link”) On the “edit” toolbar

  11. Once you have clicked the “link” button, the box below will pop up: This is how you link from one page to another on your own site When you click the “New Window” button it will open the desired page up in a new window. This is how you link from a different site to your site This is how you link directly to an email address. (not a necessary function)

  12. 2) The second step is to simply press the “link” button 1) So, lets say I want to create a link to my home page right in this spot. First thing you have to do is highlight the text that you want to link.

  13. Notice that the words you highlighted to be linked are already filled in Type in the name of a page that you have already created. “Home Page” is the title of the page I want to link to. Click “Add Link” when you are ready

  14. Now the text is blue, which means it has officially been linked… try it out! Keep the following in mind: -You can also link to other/external websites -You can even create links to files!

  15. Third Step: Attaching files to your wiki • While this is one of the more useful features you will use, it is also unfortunately one of the more painful to use 

  16. Let’s create a link to homework on my “Contemporary Law and Justice” page Once again, click the “Edit” button. Click the “File” page

  17. Click the “Upload Files” button to upload from your own directory

  18. Once you upload a file, you can search for it in the search bar. Ex. I typed in glossary and look what popped up!

  19. Check it out! The glossary has officially been linked!

  20. There are many other options for customization with your wiki… I would suggest that you just play around with it! Tips to remember: • Update it often (everyday, preferably) • Actually USE IT! • Don’t try to reinvent to wheel 
