  13. Al-Zahraa: The Shining One • Fatima She is one of the Prophet’s daughters with heart so tender acting so gentle. • She bears a title so beautiful al-Zahraa"the Shining Star". • She is indeed The Shining One her complexion with brilliance her face ever bright that so often radiates with light. • It is said that when she stood for a prayer, the Mihrab reflected the shimmer it was the shimmer of her countenance

  14. Fatima: with new realities of life when she was just a girl of five... she heard that her Father whom she loved was now the Messenger of none but Almighty God. The Prophet conveyed the good news to his family, the close ones, And to her. Khadijah, her mother, tower of strength, explained what these all mean not only for mankind, but also for her. Fatima: She'd been among the blessed before she was a girl of five From this time on, she was attached ever more to her Father And the deep love, so enduring grew even stronger Danger she started to encounter Seen walking through Mecca’s narrow streets, to Ka’ba or to the secret gatherings of the Prophet’s devotees. Fatima She'd been among the blessed when she was a small girl of five. A Small Girl of Five

  15. As she grew older  Fatima witnessed, near or from yonder unending vengeful harassment against her Father It was times of trial, agony and to suffer. To these...  she gave even greater support to her beloved Father. Looking after his needs providing him with solace and ease. It was such that the Prophet called her: the mother of her father - so she was called Most often the trials were too much to bear Once, an abusive mob heaped dirtupon the Prophet’s gracious head. When he came home, Fatima saw what happened and broke into tears as she tenderly wiped the dirt from her father's head. "Do not cry, my little daughter," the Prophet said, “For God Almighty shall your Father’s head, protect ". Do Not Cry

  16. To Fatima, the Prophet’s love so warm When she happened to come, he would welcome her, stand up, and kiss her, by the arm would take her and sit her in the place where he was sitting. And she would do the same  when to her the Prophet was coming.  Once returning from a journey the Prophet went to the mosque first to pray Then, as he often did, went to where Fatima's stay She welcomed him - warmth as it may she kissed his face, his eyes… and had herself cry. The Prophet asked her "why do you cry?". In sobs she answered slow "I see you, Messenger of God,"  "your color... is so pale and sallow  your clothes so worn and hollow…." Fatima’s devotion to her Father comes deep from her heart. The Prophet once said:  "Whoever pleased Fatima  has indeed pleased God  and whoever caused her to be angry  has indeed angered God".  "Fatima is a part of me. He said, Whatever pleases her pleases me  and whatever angers her angers me." So special was the Prophet’s love for Fatima A Special Woman

  17. Fatima with a strong resemblance to her Father Lived a life simple, not greedyshe was kind to the needy  Give what she possessed she gave to those needy: her attention, her precious belongings. and her scarce food,  - even if she had to remain quite hungry. Her fine manners and gentle person  were part of her lovely and endearing person. She spoke sincerely  she spoke of wisdom her words stir people’s emotions  and often moved them to tears. She is indeed a princess  crowned by her wisdom, humility was her kingdom She is Indeed

  18. Finally time of marriage came to Fatima  It was in Medina  where Muslims had formed  their first small society, a society of peace And it was Ali, man of knowledge,  who finally plucked up courage  and went to the Prophet  to ask for Fatima’s hand in marriage.  "Welcome into the family,"  the Prophet said lovingly.  It was a kind of marriage.  The bride was about nineteen,  and the groom twenty four.  The Prophet himself performed the ceremony  and prayed for them:  "O Lord, bless them both, bless their house  and bless their offspring."  Rejoice, Oh Rejoice, people of Medina!  Fatima moved to Ali's simple dwelling - with only a simple bed.  And there started their new life, ever so blessed. A Kind of Marriage

  19. Ali is Fatima’s husband, Cousin of the Prophet  A man with excellent attributes in faith, sacrifice, righteousness, and courage Ali was the first to embrace Islam A courageous Lion of Allah Under his flag guaranteed was the victory for AllahHe spoke of truth and issued just decrees  "I am the city of knowledge and Ali is the gate of this city"  And through Ali we had the Prophet’s many beautiful deliveries... Ali the honest, the fair in his dealings   He never indulged in worldly luxuries. He sat near the poor helpful to them, and he joked with them, and treated them with mercy. When he inspected the treasury as an Imam, he would say:  "Oh, sparkling gold and silver betray others, but not me… He would then distribute the wealth among the needy To Fatima, the Prophet would say about Ali: "I have married you to the dearest of my family ..." Who is He?

  20. Fatima's and Ali worked hard At times work made them suffer  Fatima’s hands blistered from hard work  Ali would be beside her to comfort her Once they had to go to the Prophet  asking permission to have a captive of war to be their help But the Prophet rejected. "I will not give you…"  The captives were the right of the Ummah, never indecisive on such a matter  But as a Father, the Prophet was so touched  He headed to their home, entered, and said: "stay where you are". He then gave them what they expected not:  "I will tell you something  better than that which you had asked" he said.  "These are words which Jibril had taught them to me…  recite them after every Salat and when you go to bed"  Words of  prayer to safeguard their life, they were  Prayer precious in Day or Night Better Than You Ask

  21. "Fatima, this is the first loaf your Father had in days,"  one day to Fatima the Prophet said, and thanking her  when she brought him the only food she possessed.  Fatima is a person of giving and sacrificing  Once the Prophet asked Salman his companionto take a newly embraced person to a home – to find for him food to sustain. Both finally went to Fatima’s house. How sad: Food to share she didn’t have  She then gave an item to Salman to sell so as to buy corn to grind it herself, and cook it for her indigent guest She was for sometime without meal  but not a single corn for herself she would ever conceal.  The Prophet sometimes would come to her,  to share his loaf and give consolation to her. It was said  that she made Prayer whenever the starving come,  made dhikr when it was tiresome The Hungry

  22. Fatima’s house was with a blissful cryMedina rejoice and gratify Fatima gave birth to a boy… The Prophet called him Hasan. Al-Hasan means the Fine One.  One year after Al-Hasan Al-Husain was born The Prophet was, Exceedingly fond of them He would take them to the mosque play with them, let them climb on him and nourish them Nourish them with wisdom and words of beauty  In the years that come she gave birth to a third, then a fourth one Zainab that later became Karbala heroine and Umm Kulthoom It was only through Fatima the progeny would continue Fatima was busy as a mother Fatima was busy nursing the wounded, preparing food in a long and difficult siege She never ceased her help, her help was handy, She maintained herself as the blissful mother the mother of the needy Bliss And Joy

  23. There was a day when the beloved one had to say goodbye… Oh that very day! When the Prophet came to feel  that the signs of his final days  had come He summoned Fatima  kissed her by the head whispered words that turn her into a cry and another that made her cheerful to a smile Later Fatima explained: "First he told me he would meet The Lord  in a short while - so with agony I cried. Then he asked me not to cry -  because I am the first of the family to him I join.  Therefore with happiness I smiled. So short was the time after…  and the noble Prophet closed his earthly life ever after… Oh, that very day! Who wanted that day to come,  so painful and gruesome? Oh, that very moment! The world melted in sorrow, lamenting incessantly through the morrow Oh, That Very Day

  24. Fatima  she was deeply grieved Life without her Father passed with no relief Tears... day after another. Her merriment vanished,  so did her frequent laughter Until that time…  a few months from the death of her Father…  after a rare morning  in one of Ramadan evenings she asked for a special bath,  put on new clothes and perfumed, fragrant. She then urged to put her bed in the courtyard and had her face looking above to the sky… She asked for her husband  and only after he was in her side came her heavenly words: "I have an appointment today with the Messenger of God"  smile was in her face. Nothing but a smile The courageous husband cried and cried. She told him to look after their beloved children after she had died and advised for a simple burial, no more no lesswith no ceremony, more or less! Shining Forever
