WHEN Did It Happen? • Agreement • May 6 news that an agreement got to Valley Forge. • Move out • In June Washington decided to move against the British. • Winter • The Americans stayed in the woods for the winter of 1777 and 1778. MAIN MENU
WHAT Happened? • Food • The General had little food for the American Soldiers. • All they could eat was fire cakes and snow. • Winter • Some of the soldiers got sick and some died. • It was cold out so the soldiers cut down trees to make cabins. MAIN MENU
