Star Trek's Anime Stars Fighting a Fantastic Fight!

Really, as we see the characters of Star Trek go about fighting their battles, we're forced to question our own preconceived ideas of what it means to be human, and the way we respond to the struggle between good and evil. We're made to think about life and how it functions in a world filled with the marvels of science fiction.

  1. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the voice actor of Goku (voiced by William Devane) and Vegeta (voiced by Anthony Francisco) shows his favorite Star Wars characters aren't Luke and Leia but rather his favourite Star Trek characters. This includes Captain Kirk (James Frain), Spock (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and Bones (Harry Dean Stanton). It's therefore not just Star Wars fans who can relate to the announcement of Devane and Francisco: it is everybody who enjoys Star Trek. The same holds for the voice actor of Yoda (Peter Sellers): it is not his Star Wars personalities, but rather Japanese gods such as the Greek god of the sky, Uranus and Thor, both of whom fight side-by-side at the Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. It would be tricky to imagine a Star Trek celebrity such as Anton Yelchin, who depicts the Klingon warrior Worf, would like to portray such a character from an animated movie such as Star Trek: The Next Generation. The same is true for his choice of a Star Trek personality like Worf: the celebrity must have been influenced by seeing how such characters fight side-by-side in the film Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. Really, it's nearly certain that Vin Diesel would never have become the favorite action star he is now if not for Star Trek's Enterprise crew. His passion for the franchise is apparent to all, by the way he wears his own trademark uniform to how he behaves in the front of the camera. Obviously, the popularity of Star Wars is not to be redeemed, and it's a fair bet that any actor in Hollywood would love to have had roles in either the movies or the tv set of Star Wars. It is not just the fans who would find it easy to relate to these actors, however. In reality, they'd likely find it more challenging to check at a Star Trek movie and not feel a profound sense of nostalgia. The films of Star Trek cosmic stars are almost universal classics: they've been seen and watched by countless numbers of those who have come to respect the courage and the humanity of the characters. Really, as we see the characters of Star Trek go about fighting their battles, we're forced to question our own preconceived ideas of what it means to be human, and how we react to the struggle between good and evil. We're made to consider life itself and how it functions in a world filled with the marvels of science fiction.

  2. Indeed, in regards to an actor whose voice we find comforting, there's absolutely no one better than Vin Diesel to assist us find comfort in his voice. He brings out a voice that says what we would like to convey and tells us a story we would like to hear without coming across as preachy or cheesy.
