  3. Consumable Protocol Your peers need your help! • Consumables need to be sent to new school when student transfers to a school within the District. • It has been District practice to send the consumables with the cum folder.

  4. Spring Ordering Procedures for Maintenance Orders • Title Codes & Available Consumables (Salmon) • Need to order consumables on TX05 • Ordering needed materials (course codes) • Restricted Materials – Use PBSD 0388 or email Bill • Online Reporting http://www.palmbeach.k12.fl.us/onlinereporting/DisplayDirStructure.asp

  5. Textbook Ordering Screen Refresher • Refer to Breeze Presentation on Textbook Screens on I.M. web site • Step by step instruction • Ordering, reporting losses, searching for excess books, etc. http://www.palmbeachschools.org/imlms/breezetraining.asp

  6. Maintenance Orders • Deliveries will begin in June/July, starting in the North Area. • Please be sure that summer staff know the storage location for deliveries. • REPORT DISCREPANCIES! 60-day deadline for summer 30-day deadline beginning August 1

  7. Science Direct Funding If funds are available…. • Secondary schools only • Science lab supplies - High = $200/225 per science teacher - Middle = $125/150 per science teacher - Alternative = $125/150 per site • Based on # of Science Teachers • Will be allocated after 11th day count in August.

  8. Off Adoption Materials • Off-adoption pick-ups begin in October • Box up off-adoption materials and label with off-adoption stickers • Allow any Charter schools, homeschool parents or other interested parties to have any of your off adoption materials you are returning. • Contact the IM Department if you have materials needing to be disposed of. Do not throw them away!

Destiny Textbook Manager • Adding/circulating consumables • Consumables are added the same as textbooks, but “without barcodes” • Initial FY15 order will be added into inventory • School must add any additional copies after initial order • Must circulate out to students, not teachers • Transfer consumables to other sites if student transfers to another school within district • Check back into school site if student leaves district • Never transfer on-adoption materials to Charter Schools

New Changes to Destiny • Follett APP for mobile devices • Android version 2.1 or higher • iOS version 4.2 or higher • auto-focus camera • Wireless or 3G/4G connection • Barcode scanning functionality available on devices that have auto-focus camera • Check out/Check in • Check patron status • Check copy status • Dashboard – graphical view of Textbook Manager • How-To Videos in Destiny Help

Important Information continued… • 100% collection for lost materials for the life of the adoption • Cashless payments can be accepted for textbook lost/damaged charges • End-of-Year Close Out Procedures: Bulletin to be issued in late April • Rebinding -vs- Defective materials • On Adoption returns

  13. Key Dates • May 19: End-of-year Inventories available Online • May 23: Books for rebinding due to Instructional Materials Department • June 6: End-of-year Order and Losses due via TX05 screen by 4:30 p.m. • June 12: Check for Lost/Damaged Account (6-5200) due to Accounting Services
