Key Obstacles to Achieving Peace in the Arab-Israeli Conflict

This lesson explores the current issues obstructing peace negotiations in the Arab-Israeli conflict. We will examine pivotal historical events such as UN Resolution 181, the Camp David Accords, and the Oslo Accords, as well as contemporary matters like Israeli settlements, the status of Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees, and the Gaza blockade. Participants will identify three central issues they believe are essential for negotiating peace and will conduct research on both Israeli and Palestinian perspectives regarding their chosen topic.
