The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) has implemented an E-Learning initiative since late 2005, partnering with Durham College. With a workforce of 942 sworn officers and 299 civilians, DRPS offers several active training courses, including First Aid and Suspect Apprehension Pursuits (SAP). The program aims to enhance compliance and training effectiveness by developing structured protocols and integrating E-Learning into promotional processes. Currently, three compulsory and one non-compulsory course are available, catering especially to younger recruits who appreciate the flexibility of online learning.
