Throwing off Homeostasis Results in heart beating more rapidly or breathing may quicken Fight or flight response- A response that is short lived and your body can do things it cant ordinarily do ( lift a car to get your baby, endure pain of a fight) Adrenaline- Hormone responsible for fight or flight response. A “rush” of energy.
Stress A reaction of your body to potentially threatening, challenging or disturbing events. When stress is over homeostasis is restored and the body returns to its normal state.
Temperature When you sweat or shiver your body is trying to maintain homeostasis. A body temperature of 98.6 degrees! This is why you get a fever when you are sick.
