Federal/State Activities – HIT Trailblazers NASHP/ONC’s Aims:
Tools for Alignment – Quality Measure Catalog • The Quality Measure Catalog lists all measures that are currently being used in public and private settings in Massachusetts. • The catalog is the starting point for us to identify where improvements and consolidations can be made. The catalog shows that we have an opportunity to streamline reporting and use our resources more effectively.
Tools for Alignment – SQMS Regulation • The SQMS can allow for enhanced cross-provider comparisons of quality and outcomes, as well as scores that provide more meaningful information about the provider and the services rendered. • The regulation outlines the process by which Providers will be required to submit the data necessary to calculate provider performance on SQMS measures. Providers subject to the regulation include Home Health Agencies, Hospitals, Registered Provider Organizations, and Skilled Nursing Facilities. • Whenever feasible, the Center shall use currently reported data to calculate provider performance on SQMS measures in a uniform manner.
