  2. Wimbledon Haiku A Haiku is a poem which originates in Japanese culture. It consists of 3 lines. The first line contains 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables and the final line has 5 syllables. Some year 9 students have written Haiku poetry about either the social, economic or environmental effects of the Wimbledon tournament.

  3. Saquib Ali Going to a match, Farmers getting the money, From strawberries you eat.

  4. Farina Jabbar Bored… stuck in traffic, Causing lots of pollution, Just to watch tennis.

  5. Ashley Spalding Strawberries and cream, Yum, yum, yum, lovely to eat, For farmer’s money.

  6. Shujahat Ashfaq Oh what a nice day, Watch the Wimbledon, tonight Want to go and see.

  7. Moheen Hussain There’s too much traffic, To see a good tennis match, It is very bad.

  8. Aadam Akhtar Watching people play, Eating creamy strawberries, Only one winner.

  9. Mariya Hussain Oh what a delight, To see Wimbledon tonight, I just so can’t wait.

  10. Safina Hussain Prices have gone up, Strawberries cost a lot more, Shopkeepers earn more.

  11. Faiza Yasmeen No more plants and trees, Because of cars in traffic. Less clean air for you.

  12. Tayba Janat It rains very badly, We put the cover net on, So the court is dry!
