Decline in False Thunderstorm Hours in TAF for ORD and MDW (2001-2004)

This slide shows the progression of false thunderstorm (TS) hours forecasted in the Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) for O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) airports combined. It highlights a general decline in false hours from 2001 to 2004, with a significant drop in the second forecast period (12-24 hours) when comparing 2004 to previous years. This trend suggests improvements in forecasting accuracy and a better understanding of weather patterns over the studied period.
