Climate change • Climate change is the change of the average type of weather (climate) over a certain period of time. • It is almost certain that mankind is the main cause of global warming since 1950. • Since 1880, the average temperature on earth has increased by 0,9° C. • The rise in temperature in the Netherlands is greater than average (1.5 ° C). • Global warming continues, but it does so in fits and starts; the climate is capricious, like the weather. • Models expect the temperature between 1995 and 2025 to rise by 0.3-0.7 ° C.
