This proposal outlines a novel approach to file sharing using peer-to-peer technology, addressing the issues of central server saturation, high costs, and privacy risks associated with traditional systems. By allowing files to be shared either publicly or privately, we enhance accessibility while maintaining security through encryption via GnuPG. Our solution increases network speed, enables remote access, and significantly reduces expenses associated with central servers. Discover how we can work safely and efficiently from anywhere.

Harnessing the power of Peer-to-Peertechnology to create asecureandlow-costdistributedFiling System Pablo www.Carballude.es González
How do we work? • Central servers (Saturation) • High capacity networks (Expensive) • Work from everywhere (High risk) • Remote access (Expensive)
Work from everywhere • Central Server
Privacy issues • We don’t want to allow everyone on the Internet to get access to our company files.
Sharing files Files can be shared to EVERYONE (public) or just with SOME OF THEM (private) This prototype is using GnuPG.
To sum up • We’ve increased network speed by solving saturation. • Workers can access files from everywhere, safely. • We’ve saved money eliminating the expensive central server. • Communications can be established by unsecure (and cheap) channels, because all the information would be encrypted.
