  2. Isaac Asimov • Born in Russian in 1920 • Moved to US at the age of 3 • His parents owned a candy store where Isaac saw and read his first sci-fi magazine and was instantly hooked. • Died in 1992

  3. Isaac Asimov • Had his first Sci-Fi story published at the age of 18. • Some of his early stories were rejected by publishers but he never gave up. • Some refer to him as “the worlds most prolifiic science writer.”

  4. Isaac Asimov • Popularized difficult science concepts • Coined the term “robotics” • He also wrote fantasy, mystery,and non-fiction books and articles. • Non-fiction topics included: astronomy, mathematics, history and the Bible.

  5. Famous Quote • “I don’t fear computers, I fear the lack of them.” • Asimov also created the Three Laws of Robotics” which has become a standard for most science fiction authors.
