  2. Facts • He was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky • February 12,1809 • Near presidents day

  3. Historical significance • Became president in 1860 and ended slavery. BUT LETS BACK UP

  4. before that • 1832-ran for Illinois legislator and lost joined militia • 1834-elected Illinois legislator • 1837-receved law license

  5. Now to his presidential years • 1860- elected president • 1861- Civil war began • 1864- Re-elected president for second term

  6. More of his presidential years • 1865-Civil war ends-Lincoln gets assassinated WOW! thats alot!

  7. But what you don't know O.K., YOU PROBOBLY KNOW THIS

  8. He was very honest • That’s how he earned the nick name honest Abe • Once someone paid him too much money and he ran along way to give her back her money wow
