Effective Quarantine Treatment for Pest Control Using Neonicotinoids and Foliar Applications

To manage pest infestations, initiate quarantine treatment with a soil drench using a neonicotinoid such as imidacloprid, dinotefuran, or thiamethoxam. Follow this with a foliar application of one of the following pesticides: Bifenthrin (e.g., Talstar), Chlorpyrifos (e.g., Dursban), or Acephate (e.g., Acephate, Orthene). It's essential to consult local or state extension personnel for tailored pesticide recommendations to ensure effective pest management and compliance with regional regulations.
