Supporting High-Risk Students: Effective Strategies for Engagement and Success

What can be done for high-risk students? Russell Kerr, Founder & CEO of Hands On Learning Australia, presents innovative strategies to engage these students effectively. He advocates for early, long-term interventions and hands-on learning experiences, emphasizing the importance of real projects that foster purpose, belonging, and self-respect. By implementing a cluster approach to build support networks and providing sufficient staff training, schools can create an environment where high-risk students thrive. It's time to move from talk to action—targeting students early and providing them with the right support systems is key.
