Cameo Curtains Can Produce Blackout Curtains For Any Venue It is a fairly well-known fact that blackout curtains are very much a basic requirement for any theatre, and also cinemas, since any form of outside light can have a damaging effect on a performance. And it is not just outside light which can have an effect. There may be lighting on the stage which can bounce back and cause problems unless it can be absorbed on a non- reflective material. All of these places, and many more, may need blackout curtains to control the light. However, blackout curtains can do more than just control unwanted light: they can also have a great effect on unwanted sound. They are usually made from fairy heavy materials such as black wool serge, and this also has a surprisingly great ability to reduce unwanted sound as well as light.
So, for example, if your college lecture room is situated next to a main A road where there is constant traffic day and night, you could use blackout curtains not only to control the amount of light in the room, but also the amount of noise coming in from outside.
