Cameo Curtains Can Produce Blackout Curtains For Any Venue

  1. Cameo Curtains Can Produce Blackout Curtains For Any Venue It is a fairly well-known fact that blackout curtains are very much a basic requirement for any theatre, and also cinemas, since any form of outside light can have a damaging effect on a performance. And it is not just outside light which can have an effect. There may be lighting on the stage which can bounce back and cause problems unless it can be absorbed on a non- reflective material. However, it is not just theatres and cinemas which may need blackout curtains. They may be a requirement for many other sorts of venues as well. For example, if you are running a seminar in a conference centre in the middle of June, it is a fairly safe bet that there will be a lot of sun shining, (“flaming June”, if you remember the old expression), and this can prove disastrous if you need to show slides in order to emphasise points that you are making. If your conference hall has light painted walls - which many do – it may be almost impossible for your audience to see the slide projection if sunlight is streaming in through the windows. Not only may light have to be controlled in conference halls, but in colleges, universities, and so on, where there are lecture rooms, and may also be science laboratories where it is necessary to conduct experiments in the dark. All of these places, and many more, may need blackout curtains to control the light. However, blackout curtains can do more than just control unwanted light: they can also have a great effect on unwanted sound. They are usually made from fairy heavy materials such as black wool serge, and this also has a surprisingly great ability to reduce unwanted sound as well as light.

  2. So, for example, if your college lecture room is situated next to a main A road where there is constant traffic day and night, you could use blackout curtains not only to control the amount of light in the room, but also the amount of noise coming in from outside. Two for the price of one! Cameo Curtains can produce blackout curtains in a variety of materials to control both unwanted light and sound interference in any building. Ends.
