  1. 職業英語培訓資助計劃Funding Scheme for Workplace English Training

  2. 目的 Objective • 資助僱主為其僱員託辦內部特設職業英語培訓課程，以參加指定國際商業英語考試，達致相關的 香港職業英語基準 To support the provision of in-house tailor-made workplace English training commissioned by employers for their employees to take specified international business English examinations for attaining the relevant HKWEBs

  3. 性質 Nature • 資助額為課程及考試費用的百分之五十， 　上限為每名合資格僱員最多可獲港幣3,000元 Funding is given to meet 50% of each employees’ English training cost and examination fees, subject to a maximum of $3,000 per person.

  4. 必須以公司名義提出申請 Application must be made by the company for its employee(s)

  6. 申請資格 Eligibility of Applicants • 僱員以前從未成功取得本計劃的資助 Employees who have not received any grant from the Funding Scheme • 僱員未曾就同一課程及/或同一考試取得任何公帑資助 Employees who have not received any financial assistance for the same course and/or the same examination under any other publicly funded schemes

  7. 申請程序 Application Procedures 1. 選擇合適的培訓機構、擬定課程及參加的考試 Select a suitable course provider, design a tailor-made English training course and select examination(s) to be taken.

  9. 申請程序 Application Procedures 2. 提交課程內容簡介作審批 Submit a course description for approval prior to application • 課程簡介應包括申請公司的聯絡方法、課程及培訓機構的名稱、課程大綱、上課日期及課程費用等資料

  13. 例子Example 2006年12月1日 至 12月30 日 修讀課程 Attend the course from 1.12.06 to 30.12.06 2007年 2月1日 參加考試 Take the exam(s) on 1.2.07 最遲於 2007年11月30日 遞交修畢證明 及考試結果 Submit the certificate and result slips not later than 30.11.07

Also, WEC will not recommend or endorse any course or course provider.

  24. 常見問題 FAQ 以下各點為一般指引，只供參考之用。 個別僱主應根據本身業務要求，及僱員的培訓需要， 再與培訓機構商議課程內容。 The following are some general guidelines for reference only. Individual employers may refer to their own business needs and their employees’ training requirements when asking the course provider to tailor-make training programmes.

Which of the specified examinations to be taken?  公司可以負擔多少培訓費用? - 資助計劃只資助課程及 考試費用的百分之五十，上限為每名合資格僱員最多可 獲港幣3,000元 What is the acceptable price range for your company? - the Funding Scheme only subsidizes 50% of the course and examination fee, subject to a maximum of $3,000 per person

  28. 常見問題 FAQ 如公司已獲批核一個課程，並已申請資助，公司可否為另一組僱員提供同一個課程並申請資助？ 可以 If a company has successfully claimed funding with an approved course, can it provide the same course to other employees and apply funding for them? Yes

  29. 常見問題 FAQ 若培訓課程在開課後有受訓僱員離職，其他受訓的僱員是否仍可 以獲得計劃的資助？公司又可否安排另一員工繼續修讀有關課程 並獲得資助？ 可以，只要受訓僱員達到培訓機構認可的課程出席率及取得所需 的香港職業英語基準 If one participated employee resigned during the course, will the other participated employees still be subsidized by the Scheme? Can company arrange a replacement for the resigned employee to attend the course and receive the subsidy from the Scheme? Yes, but participated employees must meet the course attendance rate stipulated by the course provider and attain the relevant Hong Kong Workplace English Benchmark(s)
