  2. Why do I have these Advisees? And where did they go? • Students (18) are assigned byprogram • Students are removed if they: • Leave the college • Become undeclared • Change program • Change to evening • Request an advisor change • Are academically dismissed

  3. Developmental Advising A = Advisor S = Student Stage one: 0 - 15 credits A>As Stage two: 16 – 30 credits As > AS Stage three: 31 – 45 credits AS > aS Stage four: 46 – 60 credits aS > S Stage five: 60+ credits S

  4. DEVELOPMENTAL ADVISING CHECKLIST STAGE ONE 0-15 credits • In this Stage students are expected to accomplish the following: • 1. College Orientation Activities (before classes start). • 2. Complete Registration Process. Understand and Use • Processes and Resources. • 3. Identify, Find, and Access Available QCC Services, as Needed. • 4. Begin CAPS Plan and Complete by the End of STAGE ONE. • 5. Apply to Degree Program, when ready. • 6. Meet with Transfer Counselor if Planning to Transfer. • 7. Meet with Advisor to Review Mid-Semester Progress Grades. • 8. Meet with Advisor at Mid-Semester to Register for • Next Semester and Review CAPS Plan.

You will need to devote 10 to 15 hours per week per 3 credit course You will need to be able to follow written directions. You need word processing skills. You need to have the ability to connect to the Internet You need to have the ability to operate an Internet browser and have the ability to use email. You need have the ability to download and install browser plug-ins.   17. Grade Options • W withdrawn – initiated by student • X no basis for grade – not attending • I incomplete – can be completed • I/R incomplete repeat – cannot be completed • F failure • Effect on GPA
