  2. Scientific Research and Experimental Development Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Credits are often ignored and misunderstood by many small and mid-size businesses. Many businesses continue to miss out on a very valuable inflow of cash refunds year after year.

  6. Process of Experiment: The claimant must undergo a systematic process designed to evaluate one or more options to achieve a result.

  7. Technological in Nature: The process of experimentation must fundamentally depend on principles of the physical or biological sciences, engineering, or computer science.

  8. Any work or research done in support of basic/applied research or experimental development can qualify as SR&ED.
