Effective Decision-Making Process in Management

Decision-making in management involves identifying and choosing alternative courses of action based on the situation's demands. There are two types of decisions - programmed and non-programmed. Six essential steps include problem identification, criteria identification, generating alternatives, evaluating/selecting the best, implementation, and evaluation. Non-programmed decisions are more complex and require a creative approach. Group decision-making is suitable for non-programmed decisions due to their complexity.
