KRNIC Test • Purpose • To test our Registry-Agency system • To find out problems regarding Hangeul Domain Name • Period : From March 16,2001 – April 25,2001 • Provided following services • Hangeul Domain Name Registration Service • Whois services through KRNIC’s homepage • Domain Name Resolution Service

  5. Results • 1450 Domain Names were registered • The rate of successful connection to websites • 737 / 1450 = 50.8% • Due to the following reasons, no web page • wrong IP addresses : 1.9% • No IP addresses : 29.7% • ETC. : 17.6%

  6. ML Domain Names • ML.ascii • Currently Managed by ICANN • ICANN’s IDN Committee, IETF IDN WG • ML.ML • ML.ccTLD - 삼성.한국 • ML.languageTLD - 교육.한글 • ML.gTLD - 삼성.기업

  9. Comments • Technical coordination of ML domain names is a critical part of its successful implementation. • Development of ML domain names should keep the local internet community in mind. • There are ML domain names as well as ML non domain names which are currently being used.
