  13. Intent and Purpose What is our intent and purpose? To please God or men? What is God’s intent and purpose?

  14. Intent and Purpose • Matthew 26:30; Mark 14:26 - After instituting the Lord's supper Jesus and His disciples sang a hymn.

  31. Why Don’t We Use Instrumental Music? We desire to find God’s permission We desire to please God not ourselves We desire to offer up spiritual sacrifices

  32. 1 John 3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
