What Are The Signs Of Nail Fungus? You may be asking yourself, is it REALLY nail fungus or just a funky toenail? If you do indeed have a fungal fingernail or toenail infection, you’ll likely experiencing one or more of the following changes to your nails. YOU MAY BE ASKING YOURSELF, IS IT REALLY NAIL FUNGUS OR JUST A FUNKY TOENAIL? If you do indeed have a fungal fingernail or toenail infection, you’ll likely experiencing one or more of these changes to your nails: •Your nail turns white, yellow, brown, black or another color. It starts as a spot at the tip of your nail, but spreads with time and lack of treatment until it covers more and more surface area of your nail. •Debris build up under your nail. •The fungus starts to lift the nail off of the skin so it’s no longer firmly attached to your finger or toe. •You nail turns white in color and it feels powdery, soft and dry to the touch. Your nail gets thinner and you may even be able to scrape if off your finger or toe entirely. •Your nail thickens and turns yellow or brown. This is more commonly seen in fingernails than toenails. •The nail splits or crumbles. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you will want to get the infection treated right away. Nail fungus is a tricky diseases to treat and the longer it goes untreated, the more difficult it is to get healthy nails back.
