  3. A belief is… A fact is…

  4. A belief is…something you think is true but cannot prove. A fact is…something you can prove to be true.

  5. More people believe in ghosts and aliens than God in the UK. 54% believe in God 58% believe in the supernatural.

  7. Buddhist • We do not worship a God.   • We want Nirvana • We believe bad makes more bad and good makes good.  This is called karma.  

  8. Christianity • We believe there is one God and Jesus is God's son. • God sent Jesus to the world to save people. • Christians believe in the Trinity - that is, in God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  9. Hindu • We believe there is one God (Brahman). • Brahman can use different bodies.  • Soul passes through a cycle of successive lives and its next incarnation is always dependent on how the previous life was lived.

  10. Islam • Belief in Allah as the one and only God • A believer can approach Allah by praying, and by reciting the Qur'an. • The Five Pillars consist of: These pillars are the declaration of faith, praying five times a day, giving money to charity, fasting and a pilgrimage to Mecca (at least once).
