Heinrich Hertz • Heinrich Hertz was born on February the 22nd 1857 in Bonn, Germany. Hertz education started at the age of 6 where he was enrolled in a private school run by Richard Lange. • He studied at this school and he was very talented he then decided that he wanted to start an engineering career so he went to Frankfurt to gain experience. • Soon enough he felt that engineering might not be the right thing for him. During the next three years he was employed as an assistant at the Berlin institute. Sure enough after a long period of time he became a scientist and discovered that light was a form of electromagnet radiation. He proved that electricity could be transmitted in electromagnet waves. • Heinrich hertz died on January 1st 1894 at the age of 96.
What did he discover?? • Hertz discovered that electricity can be transmitted in electromagnet waves. • He was the first person to find out that light was a form of electromagnet radiation. • Heinrich hertz discovery led to the developments to wireless telegraph and the radio.
What would happen? • The radio is used for entertainment. • In the olden days people would be very bored since they didn’t have technology like we do. • People would not be able to here the news. Radios aren’t very important but people would not be able to hear the news if the radio wasn’t invented.
The impact of the society • Without this amazing discovery then radios would have been made. • People would not be able to listen to the radio. • From the idea of a radio comes the idea of a television. Many people would not be able to watch television.
Heinrich hertz didn’t get married as far as I know and didn’t have any children to carry on his job.
