(a) MSM + Atrazine

This study investigates the role of MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) and surfactants in enhancing the degradation of atrazine in contaminated soil. Atrazine, a widely used herbicide, poses significant environmental hazards due to its persistence in soil and water. We examine the interaction between atrazine, MSM, and specific surfactants that may facilitate microbial degradation processes. The findings highlight the potential of using surfactant-stabilized MSM formulations to improve the bioavailability and degradation rates of atrazine by native atrazine-degrading bacteria.
