FY 2014 Base Request • Project Title: Current Expense Backfill • Strategic Priority: Improve Student Access and Success • Dollars Requested: $32,800 • $27,000 for retention activities, campus visits for transfer students, workshops and activities. • $5,800 indirect • Justification: • The DOE has recently announced that this year all TRiO programs will have to reduce their budget by 8.2% and this reduction will continue throughout this funding cycle. Based on our annual project award, we will need to reduce our budget by approximately $27,000 each year. • Return the amount of indirect returned to SSS by the college to the original 50% instead of the reduced amount of 25% • Project Outcome Measurements: • Retention, graduation, and transfer rates of TRiO students.
