PRESENTATION OF THE SCHOOL History : we exist more than 100 years it’s one of the schools of the congregation of “ Brothers of Charity “ Belief : we have Catholic “roots” but everyone is welcome in our school. Where : near Antwerp, Merksem, Belgium about 15 minutes from the historic center of Antwerp

  3. The way we work We are a sport-minded school. Most of our students choose for sports and have 5 or 10 hours of sports during the week. As you can see we think highly of the saying “A healthy mind in a healthy body”. However, it’s a general education we give. Our students aren’t all sports champions. We try to let the kids feel at home in our school. Our philosophy is that everyone deserves a chance. Students with problems should find their way to any help they need.

We have 760 students • Boys : Girls: • About 80 teachers • Departments : - sports and science ASO - economics and languages / mathematics ASO - sciences and mathematics ASO - sports TSO • ASO = Courses where they have an academic level so the pupils can go to university afterwards. • TSO = Still academic but easier than ASO. These students are also expected to continue studying after secondary school.

  6. School activities We organize various excursions in order for our students to explore the world and it’s diverse characteristics. We encourage them to broaden their mind regarding diversity etc.

  7. Life in our school • We expect certain values from our students: respect towards teachers as well as respect towards each other. • We think highly of discipline, politeness, etc. without being too authoritative.
