  3. How old do meerkats live for? • Meerkats live for 12- 14 years.

  4. Did you know ? • That meerkats stand on there back legs. • Meerkats use there tails for balance . • If the meerkats find eggs, they will eat them, too. People eat eggs, but I bet you cook your eggs before you eat them. Meerkat’s just eat them raw!

  5. Are meerkats smart? • Yes they are!!!!!!!!!The reason there smart is because they play dead when a predator is near.

  6. Are meerkat’s harmless? • Well kind of. They can scratch and bite but not hurt that much because there nice and adorable! any way why would they touch you?!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. How much does meerkats weigh? • Meerkats weigh an average of 731 grams (1.61 lb) for males and 720 grams (1.6 lb) for females.

  8. What do meerkats eat? • Meerkats will eat just about anything! Some of the things meerkats eat are like things that you eat. There aren't a lot of plants where meerkats live, but the meerkats will eat fruit or roots if they find them. People eat fruit and roots all the time. Did you know that carrots are roots? Carrots don't grow where meerkats live, but there are other roots there for the meerkats to eat.

  9. Do Meercats hunt for there food? • Meerkats do hunt for there food.They hunt for scorpions. The picture in the bottom right corner of this page shows what a scorpion looks like. They have sharp claws and a poison stinger in their tails. Most animals stay away from scorpions, but meerkats love to eat them. Sometimes the meerkats get stung, but the scorpions' poison doesn't work on meerkats!

  10. can you have a meerkat as a pet? • You can have a meerkat as a pet but in Africa only. That is so unfair! Why cant we have a meerkat as a pet!

  11. Do meerkats leave the Borrow • Yes they do because the mother leaves the burrow and other Adults look after there Baby's. So they kind of have 12 sets of parents. wouldn't that be cool!! Because you would be able to choose who you live with all the time .

  12. How fast can meerkats dig? • They can shift up to twice their weight in a couple of seconds. witch is very awesome and helpful!

  13. Were do meerkats live! • Meerkats live in the deserts and grasslands of the southern tip of Africa. They are extremely cute, with bushy, brown-striped fur, a small, pointed face, and large eyes surrounded by dark patches. They average about 20 inches (50 centimetres) long, including their tail.
