Why? • Pool resources for common interests. • Reach critical mass. • Appropriate arena for collaboration? • Develop competence through knowledge exchange. • Get co-funding from NeIC. • Add value to more users (a.k.a. get more value to your users). • Faster/better deliveries? • NeIC mode of operations: co-finance and run short-term collaborative projects for concrete e-infrastructure improvements. • NeIC added value: build expertise to minimize overhead of international collaboration.
