Felmy • Transmission IR optics • 1 mm pathlength • For measuring water concentrations in scCO2 • Single-reflection ATR optics • Roughly 3 to 10 µm effective pathlength • Coated with mineral overlayer • For measuring spectra of reacted minerals • Quantitative titration of water • Either 1 or 10 µL additions • 53 mL Vessel • Jacketed for temperature control • Thermocouple for temperature monitoring • Pressure transducer for pressure monitoring • Viewport with quartz window • Stirring • Fully automated system • Valves and spectrometer controlled by custom software • Temperature and pressure logging
