The Institution of Incorporated Engineers, Sri Lanka (IIESL), originally established as the All Ceylon Engineering Diplomates Association (ACEDA) in 1977, has undergone significant transformations. By 1992, it was renamed the Institute of Engineering Diplomates, Sri Lanka (IEDSL) through parliamentary action, and again in 2000 to its current title. IIESL offers various membership categories, encompassing nearly 1.6 million diploma engineers. Active in multiple sectors, IIESL organizes industrial exhibitions, manages training programs, and maintains regional branches to enhance education and professional development.
