  3. Buenos días • Good Morning • Memory tip = I drink sunny D in the morning. • Note the accent on the “i”

  4. Buenos tardes • Good afternoon • Memory tip = Don’t be tardy to your afternoon classes!

  5. Buenos noches • Good evening / night • Memory tip = nachos at midnight.

  6. ¿Cómote llamas? • What is your name? • Note the 2 questions marks, the “y” sound in “llamas,” and the accent over the first “o” in “cómo.”

  7. Me llamoMaria • My name is Maria.

  8. Señor • Mr. or Sir • Memory tip = An older man (including seniors) • Noe the tilde over the “n”

  9. Señora • Mrs. • Memory tip = An older lady. The “a” at the end of the word signals the feminine letter.

  10. Señorita • Miss. • Memory tip = “-ita” is a suffix that Spanish speaking people use to mean “little.” Therefore, you can remember by thinking “Little miss.”

  11. Encantado/Encantada • Delighted • Note that encantado has two forms, encantado and encantada. Guys will say encantado and girls will say encantada.

  12. Igualmente • Likewise • Memory tip = sounds a little bit like the word “equal.”
