This study employs JERS-1 data for the intricate mapping of wetlands in the Amazon Basin. Through advanced segmentation and classification methods, we delineate and analyze wetland regions, providing insights into their ecological status and spatial distribution. The research combines expertise from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, highlighting the importance of remote sensing in environmental monitoring and conservation efforts. Our findings aim to support sustainable management practices in the Amazon.
