UBL: Library Content subcommittee

This document outlines the progress made by Tim McGrath as Chair of the Hong Kong SAR, China, concerning the UBL Library Content subcommittee. Key achievements include incorporating feedback from Beta implementations, developing Naming and Design rules, and completing the documentation for UBL 1.0 deliverables. The team created an XML Schema for logical Basic Information Entities and example instances, alongside a shared library of fundamental XML building blocks. Ongoing activities will focus on expanding the library and collaborating with industry groups to advance UBL development.

  2. Library Content Activities • Incorporated feedback from 1.0 Beta implementations into Models • Worked with Tools and Techniques to implement Naming and Design Rules • Completed 1.0 documentation

Library Content Primary Deliverables • An XML Schema(XSD) of  logical Basic Information Entities • Example XML instance for each BIE • Shared library of basic XML building blocks (address, quantity, etc.) • Assembled Schemas for business document types • Documentation for the Schemas • Customization methodology* • Publication of Schemas into public registries *Ed.
