The Vocational Training Team (VTT) program offers professionals the opportunity to travel abroad to enhance their skills or share expertise with local communities. Sponsored by The Rotary Foundation, this initiative promotes vocational training as a means of capacity building and improving quality of life. With teams led by experienced Rotarians and comprised of individuals with practical experience, participants engage in hands-on activities tailored to community needs. A Vocational Training Team (VTT) • is a group of professionals who travel to another country. • learns more about their profession or teaches local professionals about a particular field. • may or may not be reciprocated by partner districts. • is an educational program of The Rotary Foundation.
Vocational Training TeamsProgram • Builds on Foundation’s commitment to vocational training • Takes the GSE concept a step further • Offers participants the opportunity to use skills to help others • Has Hands-on activities that vary from one team to the next • Increases the capacity of the host community to solve problems & improve quality of life
The Team • Rotarian team leader experienced in project area, qualified to coordinate & lead • Minimum 2 non-Rotarian participants ~ minimum 2 years experience in project subject • Skilled Rotarians can be on team • No max team size • Teams developed according to grant goals
Vocational Training Teams Funding • Global Grants will fund teams capable of Capacity Building & potential Sustainable Outcome • Clubs and districts can apply for Global Grants to fund a VTT • VTT can be a stand-alone Global Grant or a part of a Global Grant that includes a humanitarian project
