Enhancing Crisis Communication in Europe's Volcanic Risk Management

The National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police plays a vital role in implementing best practices in crisis management and communication across Europe through the European Union Monitoring and Information Centre (EU-MIC) and the Communication Emergency Communication and Information System (CECIS). This project involves forensic analysis of communication and risk management during volcanic events, developing standardized volcanic information for the EU-MIC hub, mapping best practices in scientific data dissemination, and gathering feedback on the impact of crisis management strategies. Key personnel at NCIP drive this project forward with key milestones and deliverables. Join us in improving volcanic risk communication across Europe.
