  2. WHEN WE LIVE UNITED… STUDENTS ARE INSPIRED. CHILDREN ARE SUCCESSFUL. FAMILIES ARE STRENGTHENED. OLD AGE IS MORE OF A GOLDEN AGE. TIMES OF CRISIS ARE LESS FRIGHTENING. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CHALLENGES ARE LESS CHALLENGING. WAYNE COUNTY IS STRONGER AND HEALTHIER.

  4. 83 people in need received emergency food, clothing, shelter or heating oil. uwlc.net

  5. 93 children in crisis received 769 counseling sessions totaling 398 hours from VIP uwlc.net

  6. 290 6th graders from Wallenpaupack Area attended Jr. Achievement’s BizTown for hands-on education on business, economics and free enterprise. uwlc.net

  7. Accessibility was improved for patrons of the Hawley Library with limited mobility uwlc.net

  8. 75 additional people participated in programs at the Wayne County YMCA each week because of new equipment and expanded classes. uwlc.net

  9. 13 seniors maintained their independence in their own homeswith either portable air conditioning units or heaters uwlc.net

  10. 14 additional 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at Lakeside were able to have a safe place to go after school with scholarships at CTC uwlc.net

  11. 11 students from Wayne County school districts utilized Devereux’s School to Transition Services uwlc.net

  12. An inflatable boat and motor were purchased by the Honesdale Fire Company, enabling the department to respond to multiple water emergencies. uwlc.net

  13. 26 families received help with pre-school tuition at 5 different sites in Wayne County uwlc.net

  14. 35 children received financial literacy education and participated in theStock Market game. uwlc.net

  15. 60 children in need at Preston Elementary received a backpack of nutritious food each Friday during the school year. uwlc.net

  16. 133 Wayne County residents had their income taxes prepared for free as part of our VITA program. uwlc.net
