The company stands at the forefront of every aspect of the entertainment industry from film, TV and home entertainment production and worldwide distribution to DVD, digital distribution, animation, comic books, licensing, international cinemas and broadcasting.

  4. Game development • Bungie began as a company one crisp morning in May of 1991, but that wasn't exactly the beginning. Before it emerged, fully formed as the multinational corporate behemoth that published Operation: Desert Storm (on which they later based a war), "Bungie" released a Pong clone (nearly 20 years after the original)

  5. Television • STVSTV’s broadcasting business incorporates two licences – one for the north of Scotland and one for central Scotland. Together, these services produce dedicated regional programming to over three and a half million viewers across Scotland each week. • STV’s wide range of programming reflects Scotland’s distinctive political, legal, educational, cultural and sporting institutions via news, current affairs and non-news programming, including original drama and factual documentaries. • News is at the heart of both services, with STV News bringing viewers live, comprehensive and up-to-the-minute news from across the region with regular evening news programmes and bulletins throughout the day. STV also broadcasts local split bulletins within the evening news programmes and these five-minute bulletins are often the most popular part of the shows. Over the past five years, STV’s news programmes have seen a 13% increase in viewing share. STV’s news services have a comprehensive online service at stv.tv/news.

  6. Role in the sector • The television presenter is the front-person for a program. Their job includes: • Presenting information and/or opinions. • Introducing people and elements of the show. • Interviewing guests. • Linking between segments of the show. • Taking part in onscreen activities. • Being a presenter is all about personality. Although presenters must learn a few simple technical skills, what usually makes or breaks a presenter is the ability to project the right type of onscreen personality. • Obviously some presenting roles have specific requirements. For example, a news reader must be able to read an autocue without mistakes, a football presenter must have good game knowledge, a children's presenter must be able to relate well to kids, etc. • During a typical production the presenter may need to work closely with the director, floor manager, camera operators and sound operators.
