  23. Generational Barriers at Work The LexisNexis Technology Gap Survey was conducted to show how technology etiquette barriers impacted the workplace. Between Boomers (age 44-60), Generation X (age 29-43) and Generation Y (age 28-youger).

  24. Generational Barriers at Work Over 2/3 of Boomers agree that PDAs and mobile phones contribute to a decline in proper workplace etiquette. Less then half of Gen X workers agree that a laptop or a PDA in an in-person meeting is “distracting”. Only 17% of Boomers believe that laptops and PDAs are “efficient” in an in-person meeting, compared to more then 1/3 of Gen Y workers. 28% of Boomers think blogging about work-related issues is acceptable, while 40% of Gen Y workers do.
